Swanfeather a beautiful sight to behold. A rounded over all appearance, Swanfeather is plump but not in the fat kind of way. Her pelt is thick and which affects her dislike of swimming. She doesn't mind getting her paws wet or wadding in the water but full on swimming she'd rather only do when it comes to life or death. Sparking blue eyes that give a wild contrast to her dark colored face and ears, not to mention her rather dirty-cream look to her over all pelt. Swanfeather's over all size is smaller than an average warrior, appearing to be around the size of a older apprentice. Over all Swanfeather is a dainty she-cat that her size works well with her role as a medicine cat.

Determined and Hardworking are ideal qualities any clan desires in their medicine cat, and Swanfeather is no exception. All her life Swanfeather has been a go-getter she-cat, always keeping herself busy with medicine cat duties. Where she is in the zone so to speak, working on task she can change from a heart warming she-cat to a strict and cut-throat cat. Many times she has snapped and growled at a warrior coming in with a thorn in his paw and bothering her while she nursed a sick cat. Swanfeather has always been harsh toward cats the get hurt by their own stupid means. Many times sending a warrior out of her den if he comes back with a thorn in his paw or a sore belly from eating to much. Sawnfeather is strict no doubt about that, she always has been from her early kit-hood moons. His has always kept her on the path of a medicine cat under the watchful eye of her beloved mentor. Swanfeather over all is a strict but trustworthy medicine, who's stubborn way of life has kept her respected with her clan.

Kit Hood
Born Sawnkit, she was the third child of Brookstrike and Otterfur. Her two other siblings both tom kits, Duck-kit and Goosekit where all a happy bunch. Born in new-leaf, they were the center of attention, the first kits of the new year. Swankit from an early age enjoyed the smell and allure of a medicine cat life, always seeming to have found herself under Smokeyowl's supervision as he sorted herbs. Duck-kit and Goosekit were the ideal warrior aspiring kits cat clan wanted. The two rumbled and tumbled, while Swankit kept herself occupied with learning herbs. It wasn't until nearly her fifth moon did Smokeyowl ask if she'd like to become his apprentice. Swankit couldn't slow down she was so excited and happily said yes. The next moon she became Swanpaw, medicine cat apprentice.
Apprenticeship
She learned quickly, after all she had spent nearly everyday of her kit hood days in his den learning new herb. Now her training was focused mostly on the procedures and the connection with StarClan. Swanpaw easily melted into the life of a medicine cat apprentice, Smokeyowl was proud of her.
Like any apprentice Swanpaw needed to know how to protect herself and later Smokeyowl took her to the sandbar to learn defensive moves. Her siblings, Duckpaw and Goosepaw were already training with their mentors, but a new cat caught Swanfeather's attention. Frostpaw, a cat tom-cat with nearly pure white coloring and one blue eye and other green. Swanpaw came to learn that Frostpaw was in fact deaf on his right side, the same that shared the blue colored eye. Swanpaw took an interest in the tom cat as she was there to train. With the help of her brothers Swanpaw was able to learn the basic in only five training sessions, about average for any medicine cat.
Oddly enough her attraction to Frostpaw never voided. She always found herself looking for him in the camp or as she was out gathering herbs. Frostpaw was kind to her and always offered to carry herbs back to her, after all she never tried to treat him different. Even if he never said anything about it Frostpaw hated people pointing out he deaf, half a warrior.
As she grew from her early moons as Swanpaw and learned all that she could, as an apprentice she traveled to moon tree to get her new name, Swanfeather she was called. The life of a medicine cat apprentice never ended until her mentor left his rank, she might have her full medicine cat name but she was still under his care, after all he was far wiser.
Full-Medicine Cat
Returning as Swanfeather she was respected by her brothers who just a moon before her got their warrior names. Frostpaw had became Frostfang and their attraction to each other grew ever more noticeable. He visited her often, always her escort if she ever went to moon tree or if she traveled to other clans for herbs. Frostfang was her rock, another cat she could turn to and lay all her worries on. This started a budding romance. Smokeyowl warned her about getting involved, that it was forbidden for medicine cats to ever have mates, however Swanfeather couldn't help herself.
However with her determined nature and prompt attitude she never allowed her time with Frostfang affect her duties, one quality she stuck with. He did however from time to time feel neglected by the she-cat he loved. As moons went on and Swanfeather took a more dominate role as medicine cat, Smokeyowl told her that the next leaf-bare he'd be leaving to the elder's den. Swanfeather accepted her mentor's choice and rejoiced in the next two seasons she still had of his advice.
However that leaf-fall tore the she-cat apart. There was a raid, NightClan came across the border on the darkest night. They rushed in and ransacked the camp, they claimed that a RainClan warrior was stealing their prey, Swanfeather was busy protecting her herbs and one sick cat that was in her den. The entire camp was in uproar. Queens hiding their kits, warrior protecting their camp, Frostfang in the middle of it all. However his deaf ear proved a fetal flaw. He didn't hear a warrior coming from his side, Swanfeather watched as he taking by surprise, knocked over and two more warriors piled on top of him. Swanfeather yowled in fear and pain, running toward him, but Smokeyowl stopped her just before. "You are a medicine cat, you can't risk your life for his! Get back to the den!" He hissed at her, pushing her back toward the den, she stood there at the mouth of her den shell shock, Frostfang fought off one of the two, however was still recovering from the first strike, his paws unsteady.
Finally more warriors from RainClan returned, a midnight patrol made up by their leader in order check the borders with StoneClan. Frostfang was saved, or so she hoped. That night her and Smokeyowl were busy tending to the wounded, Swanfeather spent a lot of her time with Frostfang, everyone else seemed to have only gotten scratches and bite marks, Frostfang had been hurt the worst. Turned out according to a captured NightClan cat, that it was Frostfang's scent that was found, he had been stealing prey from NightClan. Swanfeather was shocked, surprised and hurt, she thought that Frostfang was above that, but it wasn't true. She had talked about with him one day how she liked the taste of the birds that came from NightClan on rare occasion. He must have been stealing those birds and bringing them to her, she had eaten so many in the past two moons. Her heart sank and she grew angry at him. However her angry was short lived, Frostfang was far to weak from the fight, deep and long scratches covered his entire body. Deep and sharp bite wounds were found around his neck, infection came fast and within two days of the battle he was dead, on her den, his last words the love he had for her.
Recovering
Since Frostfang's death in her den, Swanfeather had became more strict and snapped at foolish warriors more often. She can't anything with feathers, no matter how hungry she was. She has spent some time near his grave, the Smokeyowl who became an elder that night told her where they buried his body. If you were to go to his grave now, you'd see a little pile of wild flowers. Truly only Smokeyowl knows of her feelings for the half-deaf white warriors, after all it was forbidden for her to love him. Yet she isn't entirely heart broken, she knows that someday soon she will see him in StarClan, possibly in her dreams, but will his actions as a warrior in his world affect him in the next? That fear still haunts Swanfeather the more she hasn't heard or seen him in her dreams, the love is till alive, in her soul.

Swanfeather, make sure you give the queens the borage leaves.
Swanfeather said to herself, trying to mimic Smokeyowl's voicei n her head as she sorted out the day's tasks. It always seemd to happen, she awake early in the morning, sort out herbs and try to remember task for the day ahead. This was filled with taking care of the queens, two bundles of borage leaves were set up. She even focused herself on the task of making a bundle of herbs for when the other queen came birth, Swanfeather liked to be prepared and with leaf-bare coming soon she wasn't going to risk her Clan getting sick if she was able to do anything.
Her nose sniffing each nook and cranny in her den, pulling out herbs and checking them for signs of rot or loss of effectiveness. She made a mental check-list for herbs she needed to find, as she made those notes in her busy brain, her thoughts drifted to Frostfang. His warm and welcoming scent feeling her nose, she turned toward the entrance of her den, expecting to see the white warrior but instead she found nothing but a slow breeze, her heart dropped. "He isn't coming back, stop expecting him to return to you" She growled at her self as she once again looked toward her task ahead, trying to keep her thoughts far away from her mate, the one that was buried two tail lengths in the ground.
