Site News We are attempting to revive after a coma which lasted far too long. Advertising would be much appreciated by both new and old members. Let's get FoF going again, and better than before at that! ;)
I've also decided that instead of waiting for people to make a whole bunch of rogues and loners to fill MountainClan's ranks, we will be using NPCs for the most part. You are still welcome to make a MountainClan cat, but I'll warn you, MountainClan will not be around forever and the cats will return to being rogues and loners sooner or later.
Prophecy Night will fall over the Forest

(No cat has been told of the prophecy and the plot will not take place for some time yet. We need more members and we need to fill high ranks before the plot can take place. The five cats who will be getting the prophecy for each Clan will get it after all high ranks are filled and MountainClan will not receive it as StarClan does not recognize them as a true Clan.)

OOC(For those of you who do not know what ooc means, it means 'outofcharacter') 1. I don't mind swearing, just not every other word, you know? And also, no swearing at other people, ever. Swearing every now and then is fine, for emphasis purposes or, w/e. 2. Please only use talk ooc in the ooc boards, that is why I made them! 3. Absolutely no fighting with another user. It's perfectly fine for your cats to fight, but not you as an actual person. If you must 'debate aggressively' shall we say, over a topic, please go to PMs. If you have conflicts with someone who won't leave you alone, just tell me and I'll deal with it. If you're problem is with me, then tell me and I'll try to fix it, however, if I can't, then I guess you'll have to deal with it or leave, sorry. 4. Only one account per person, please. If I find out you have more than one account, I will delete it. There's really no need to have more than one account since you can have as many characters as you want. 5. For your display name, choose your main character that you're going to be playing and call yourself that just to make it simpler, if you don't reall have a main character, then just use the first one you made. I just think it's really annoying on some sites where people have display names that have absolutely nothing to do with anything, so if you'd follow this rule, you will keep from annoying me I guess. ^.^ Thank You. 6. Please do not join if you know you won't be on at least once a week. It is very frustrating waiting a week for others to reply to your posts when you've made a thread with them.
Posting and Other General Rules 1. feel free to use chatspeak ooc, but NOT ic(in characters), EVER. Thank you. 2. Spell out your words, write good sentences and make your posts as long as you possibly can while maintaining creativity and originality, meaning don't be monotonous and boring just to lengthen your posts. 3. Posts must be at least one paragraph long with at least 6 sentences in it ON A BAD DAY. You should be able to get at least that much into a post or else it really isn't worth posting anything. I would rather wait a week for a good post than get an instant crappy one. If your can't think of anything to post, think about the surroundings and weather, the feelings your character is going through, what is your character thinking: include some of their inner thoughts, etc. There are endless possibilities. 4. Sentences within the required paragraph must be descriptive, none of this: She blinked. She stood. She walked away. She left camp. She went to the stream. She took a drink. That is not a paragraph nor do I count it as 6 sentences. I count that as one sentence, poorly written, and if I ever see a post like this IC, I will immediately delete it without warning the writer. Posts like this are completely unacceptable! *cough* Sorry, I'm done with my little rant now. Also, please remember to use the handy little spell check button before you post. I don't always remember, but if I notice typos I usually go back and fix them. Typos are just one of those little things that bug the crap out of me and if you don't fix it, I probably will cuz I'm a freak like that. 5. No swearing IC. The Clans do not even know any human swear words. Swear words to them are words like mousedung, foxdung, etc. 6. There will be extremely little to no power playing/godmoding/etc. I know it makes it difficult to post sometimes without a TINY bit of it, so I'll let a little slide, but do your best to avoid it altogether. If you do too much I'll tell you and I'll put the thread on hold until you change it. 7. No graphic matings or birthings. When you want to have kits, just start a thread with the cat you want to have kits with, post for a while, and then say a little later that the she-cat is pregnant. The she-cat must be pregnant for at least 2 REAL TIME weeks before she has the kits, and the kits must be kits for at least a month and half REAL TIME before becoming apprentices. 8. You characters can be in more than one place at time, but don't overdo it, stick to about 3 please.
Characters 1. You can have as many characters as you want. HOWEVER, if you cannot keep up with them all, I will ask you to put one or more up for adoption or just delete them. By 'keeping up with them' I mean at least one post a week with EVERY character. One a week is not much to ask. 2. You may only have one leader, though overall, you can have 2 high ranking cats. If you do have 2, however, you cannot have two of the same position, meaning you cannot have two deputies or two medicine cats/medicine cat apprentices. Also, if you play a leader, you can not play a deputy, though I will allow you to play a medicine cat or apprentice. One last note about high ranking characters, if you do have 2, they can not be from the same Clan. 3. Your characters can break the warrior code as much as they want, this doesn't mean that they won't get punished for it by your leader or StarClan(ME). 4. Senior Warriors are also limited. There are only a few of these in each Clan, so I will probably only allow you to have one of these, and after a while, they will no longer be available. 5. On to the matter of queens and kits and mates and what not. No cat should have more than 5 kits at time, and really, 4 should be the limit unless it's been a really good new-leaf or something. As to pelt colors, the mother gets to decide what all of her kits look like and they do not have to have any resemblance what-so-ever to their parents if you really don't want them to, but they should probably have at least one similar trait. The mother also gets to name them all without input from he father unless she asks for it, unless the father wants to play one, then the father can decide the name and what it looks like. The mother gets to decide for the majority though. Also, if there are kits that neither the mother nor the father wants to play, then it is the mother's job to put them up for adoption in the adoption boards and choose who gets to play them 6. As for apprentices becoming warriors and receiving new names, your Clan leader gets to decide what your new name is going to be. You can request a name or a few names and they might consider it, but otherwise it is completely their decision 7. Sorry, but at least for the time being, no one will be allowed to play a StarClan cat, even if one of your own cats has died. I might make the option available in the future, but for now, I am StarClan. 8. All cats must have a two part name following the pattern of the Warriors books: kits' names end in kit, apprentices' names end in paw, leaders' names end in star, warriors' names can be anything other than those three already mentioned. 9. Age Guide: kits:0-6 moons apprentices:6-at least 12 moons warriors:no less than 12 moons-about 50 moons senior warriors:about 50 moons-about 84 moons(can be older) elders:older than 84 moons Keep age in mind when deciding if your cat should have already had kits and what not as well. No she-cat should have had kits before being at least 18 moons old. Also, no cat should probably be older than about 110 moons, though I might allow it if you really want an elder that old. Cats might live to be 15 years if they're kittypets, but in the wild they proabbaly shouldn't live past 9 or 10. 10. A final note, Kittypets are not allowed on this site because the Clans now live in a valley where humans are rarely seen unless they are just passing through on a hiking trip or something. There is no where for a Kittypet to live within the mountains, sorry. 11. PLEASE CHECK THE NEEDS AND BANS THREAD BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR CHARACTERS.
**Notice: rules will most likely be updated and changed periodically so it is a good idea to check back every now and then so you don't get in trouble for something that you didn't even know about! I'll make an announcement if I ever change the rules and the added or edited rule will be in yellow so you can find it easily.
***NOW! Put the maroon letters together that you found periodically throughout the rules and that spells the password to the sign-up board. Keep in mind that there are no capital letters and no spaces.
